Day 2. Enjoy.
Bonnaroo Tip of the Day: To save room in your car, only bring one pair of underwear. You can always flip them inside out halfway through the festival.
Broken Bells – Sunday, June 15, 6:15 P.M. – Which Stage
Similar Bonnaroo Sounds: Fitz & The Tantrums, Vampire Weekend, City and Colour
Broken Bells launched into the music stratosphere with their 2010 self-titled debut album. Their spacey indie rock sound captured music fans from both the folk and electronic persuasions, and the fact that Broken Bells is one part James Mercer (lead vocalist for The Shins), one part Danger Mouse didn’t hurt either. Their second release After the Disco was just released in February, so be prepared to hear a big chunk of it at Bonnaro. If after the sun-soaked Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, you’re wanting to listen to some low-key, smooth as silk indie rock, I’d suggest checking out Broken Bells. They’re playing right after Fitz & The Tantrums, so you’ll already have the music-they-play-at-Urban-Outfitters side of your brain warmed up. Get a taste of their live performance with footage from this year’s Coachella (aka Bitch Bonnaroo).
